NEXT TO BLOW - YC (Young Chris) featuring Future - "Racks On Racks"

Atlanta's YC's hit song "Racks " is the definition of a "guilty pleasure" and is currently the most played song in the A. I can't recall a time when a song has been so terrible & great at the exact same time lol.  I mean it he has everything working against it:

  • Autotune (this should automatically disqualify it)
  • Gold teeth (even Young Dro & Yo Gotti took their grills out)
  • He looks like a cross between Drake & Lloyd and has a hypeman wearing rhinestones on tight fitting clothes
  • Has the name of an established dope rapper (Young Chris of Young Gunz & State Property)
  • Song is about nothing but ballin' & stuntin' and says nothing new (if you can even understand half of what he says)

And despite all of this, this song is somehow bumpin & catchy lol.  During the first verse you're tempted to turn it off but something keeps you from doing what you feel the urge to do.  By the time the second chorus comes in, it's impossible not to bob your head and say "racks on racks on racks" lol.  I've been bumping this for about a month straight and it still hasn't worn off

He should be close to finalizing a major label deal because if you have a hit song in ATL, you are automatically guaranteed a deal (see: Travis Porter, Roscoe Dash, DG Yola, Rocko, Dem Franchize Boys, Shop Boyz, D4L, etc.).

And it wouldn't be right if I didn't leave you with the MP3 and this video

Here's the lyrics"

Uh, I know it's going to kill me but I just can't let it go
And the taste so appealing got a grip upon my soul
These honey dip lies mesmerize me
Pride's got its crooked fingers twisted all inside in me
Fools walk the path I'm on, never to be seen again
Sipping on seduction while we eating on some secret sin
(Not a lot of love and mercy) says the whisper in my ear
And I know I should be over this, but I ain't seeing clear
And I aint leaving here, unless somebody save me
Walking to my grave letting evilness enslave me
Evil looks so lovely covered in her lace of lies
And the silky smooth seduction just manipulates my mind
Her fabrical fabrication is fueling my fascination
While I'm intoxicated she starts her assassination
I'm losing all my honor and my years to the merciless
Giving all my life away but I'm just so immersed in this (killa)

Hook:
Baby this is innocent (Killa) it won't even hurt a little bit (Killa)
I'm only here for your benefit (killa) I'm your every wish (Killa)
Come on and let me in (killa), baby this is innocent (Killa)
And it won't even hurt a little bit (Killa) Close your eyes and let's get lost tonight
(Killa) Would it be alright? You'll see (killa)

Her feet go down to DEATH, so don't let her consume you
Even though her heart is black, her exterior's beautiful
She'll take your life away, strip away your joy
Pretends that she gon build you up but she's just gon destroy you
My friends fell low, when they was so high
Got me running scared of myself, no lie
And I know I'm gon die, I tried cold turkey
But when I'm feeling worthy, Satan's sure trying to merk me
I'm doing myself dirty, flirting with whats perverted
I should follow the word but I guess I'd rather be murdered
Excuse me I mean martyred 'cause I'm killing myself
My sin conceived a baby, and we gon name it death, breath
(Gasps) -Taker, she take my breath away
Replaces it with poison and I'm so swept away
I need some bread today hope I wake up
Before they start my wake up somebody make me break up
I'm dating a (Killa)

NEXT TO BLOW: Vado - "Polo (Remix)" feat Young Dro x "Weekday"

"Rugby and fatigued it, patches down the sleeve chick/ number on the back, we a match, no secret"

SLIME!!!! Here's the remix to Harlem native Vado's single "Polo" from his upcoming album Slime Flu, which drops October 12.  Of course he had to add Mr. Polo To The Flo himself, Young Dro.  I love that Vado's repping the Rugby line (my favorite) on here too.

Memphis' own 2Deep has a hit with this one. When I first heard this song I was instantly drawn to the chorus, which interpolates Smokey Robinson & The Miracles' classic "More Love."

Here's his bio:

2 Deep, AKA “The Southern President” has hustled his way to the top of the Memphis Rap scene. This talented lyricist has definitely paid his dues. Raised by his grandmother in one of the toughest areas of the Bluff City known as Orange Mound, 2 Deep has plenty of life experiences to rap about. Once high school was behind him, he quickly fell prey to the streets and found himself facing a charges of possession with the intent to sell. Realizing he had much more to offer to society, he began to focus even more on his music. “

I really got into rapping when I was 14. I would listen to Jay-Z, 2PAC and Outkast and study their music. I felt like I could do the same thing. I knew I had what it took to be succesful so I went harder rapping and never looked back.” As a teenager he joined a group and signed with a local independent label. “I was loyal to the label, but it wasn’t going where I needed it to go. I was turning down situations because I was ‘in’ a situation. So I decided to go solo.” The name 2 Deep started buzzing when, at the age of 19 he collaborated with a friend, Joshie” on a mix tape project. The two of them took to the streets and would eventually sell nearly 11,000 CD’s. “Once I saw what it took to get my CD’s out to the city, I recorded my solo projects and hit the streets…everyday.” And it was everyday that you could find 2 Deep, somewhere in Memphis…car parked…trunk up, selling CD’s. 2 Deep independently marketed, distributed and packaged his own music selling over 40,000 CD’s and is now known and respected all over Memphis.

To date he has opened shows for T.I., Jeezy, Three Six Mafia and David Banner, just to name a few. Says local DJ, DJ 007 (K-97), “This artist will blow you away! He’s not a gangsta rapper, he’s a reality rapper. You’re gonna hear some street, some club, and some personal stuff you can relate to. I’m behind him 100%. 2 Deep is currently working with his producers Web,Hot Rod, and Skewby. He also recently released a Southern Smoke mixtape with DJ Smallz titled "Take It or Leave It. Asked why he refers to himself as “The Southern President”, 2 Deep’s reply is, “Because I’m the next big thing to ead the South!” …and after listening to his music…he will definitely have your vote.

Yes, this is new music from Outkast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I must say it's FIE! It's four verses, with two of them being new.  The song originally was an unrelased song from Big Boi's solo (which is a must buy) and is sorta like an upbeat 2K10 version of "I Can't Wait" from the Barbershop 2 soundtrack.  This right here has me amped for a new album because both Big Boi and Dre 3K DESTROY the beat and I'm still mad label politics kept Dre off of Big Boi's solo. My patna said that Dre is like Bruce Leroy in The Last Dragon: He can kick everybody's tail but he refuses to fight lol
