GAMEROOM: ESPN's Mark Schlereth Roasts NFL For Their New Stance On "Devastating Hits"

I agree 100% with him.  Every player knows the risk of playing football and most of those so-called "devastating hits" were just normal parts of the game.  They need to let men be men and quit babying the offense.  This is the same league that wants to add two more games to the already rigorous NFL season and doesn't pay for player's post-career health care.

GAMEROOM VIDEO: Ray Lewis Blasts New York Jets Coach Rex Ryan

Rex Ryan made the mistake of mentioning Ray Lewis during the recent episode of HBO's Hard Knocks when he said he allowed Ray Lewis & Ed Reed to call plays in a fourth preseason game when he was in Baltimore and said that they "tapped out" after a few plays.

Here's a few of the things Ray replied with:

"Coach your Jets. My name should not come out Rex’s mouth unless you’re telling somebody to come block me, which is going to be a very hard damn task come Monday night."

"The game ain’t played through tongues," Lewis said. "The game is played when you buckle up your chin strap. So, all this pressure [Ryan] wants to put on his team, I hope they can cash the check that he writes."

"It’s what you love, but at a certain point you get tired of everybody talking about stuff. You can talk about whatever, but the bottom line is there ain’t no man over there that’s just going to flat-out whup me, so I’m good.”

GAMEROOM: ESPN Report On Michigan's Fab 5 (from SportsCenter 03/25/07)

The Fab 5 were to basketball what The U was to football & Mike Tyson was to basketball: The 1st time the nation experienced the hip-hop generation unadulterated. The Fab 5 is the sole reason black socks are popular and paved the way for Allen Iverson. I don't know if we'll ever see a group like them in college basketball again. I still want some OG Nike Air Flight Huaraches.

P.S. How is Juwan Howard still playing for the Trailblazers lol?
