I still jam this on the regular. Nate also sang this song on Vibe's talk show as a Tupac Tribute on the anniversary of Pac's death in 1997. I also have him and Snoop performing this on Soul Train (uploads coming soon to my YouTube channel http://YouTube.com/DJCottonHere ). This song had me so amped for Nate & Danny Boy's Death Row albums (too bad they took 2 and 14 years to come out respectively).

Hearing that they're finally going to release the LBC Crew's album next year, I had to break this back out. This song was featured on Martin Lawrence's movie Thin Line Between Love And Hate. Techniec not having a solo album is one of the most criminal acts in hip-hop history.

Death Row is bringing the Doggystyle Records original 1996 group's album to the masses in early 2011.At the height of Death Row Records' success, Snoop Dogg was given his Doggystyle Records imprint. On his 1996 hit, "Snoop's Upside Ya Head," the Long Beach rapper confirmed this with "Doggystyle Records is now official." Although he would revive the imprint several years later, the rapper had initially signed an impressive would-be roster of Tray Deee, Soopafly and The LBC Crew. The last outfit, consisting of Bad Azz, Techniec and Lil C-Style would release an album that would never be released, as Snoop Dogg departed the imprint in 1997.Bad Azz would go on to find a successful solo career with 19th Street and subsequently Priority Records. Techniec later signed with Mack 10's Hoo Bangin' Records, also a Priority affiliate. Lil C-Style, younger brother of 19th Street Records founder Big C Style, would later release material through Daz Dillinger's DPG Records.Fifteen years after its recording, Death Row Records is releasing The LBC Crew's Haven't You Heard? (We Givin' Somethin' Bacc To The Street) on February 8, 2011 - this, according to E1 Entertainment, the label's latest distributor.

Shoutout to my patna Dennis from Sacramento for puttin me up on this back in the day. 213 flipped the instrumental from Monica's "So Gone" and made a summer hit that every playa can play for his gal. I'm still mad they didn't shoot a video for this because this is one of the most slept-on songs of all-time. I used to put this on every mix CD I burned for like a year straight.

I still have this on VHS from BET's Midnight Love. Danny Boy was the teenage singer on Death Row Records who sang the hooks on many of Pac's classic songs (I Ain't Mad At Cha, Picture Me Rollin, Heaven Ain't Hard 2 Find, Toss It Up, etc). This was the first single on his unreleased Death Row debut album It's About Time. Luckily the album will finally be released on April 20th .
FUN FACT: This was co-produced by DeVante Swing (Jodeci) and features Ginuwine singing the chorus. The video also has cameos by 2Pac, Snoop Dogg and Tha Dogg Pound.

Dope song but that's besides the point: This is the best diss video of all-time! Especially when you remember that this was shot IN NEW YORK at the height of the whole Death Row vs Bad Boy fued. The DPG & Death Row absolutely pulled they pants down and dumped on NYC for 5 straight minutes. They even brought the low-riders out and rode them around the city lol. Crazy part was that they weren't even going to knock the building over until their trailer was shot at during the filming. Kurupt was a absolute monster back in the 90s and my favorite lyricist back then.
